Tata Advanced Systems, a leading Indian defense major, has made a significant move to expand its presence in Africa by showcasing its cutting-edge defense technology at the Marrakech Airshow 2026. The company has presented a range of innovative products, including the WhAP 8×8 armored vehicle, ATAGS artillery system, and Light Armored Multi-role Vehicle (LAMV), designed to cater to the growing demand for advanced defense solutions in the region.

The WhAP 8×8, developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is an amphibious 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle that can be adapted for various missions. The vehicle has been designed to provide enhanced mobility and protection to troops, making it an attractive option for military forces in Africa.
