The Mbada 4×4 LAMV is a cutting-edge, modular vehicle designed to meet the diverse mission needs of various roles, including reconnaissance, border protection, internal security, special operations, troop transport, command and control, and surveillance, as well as weapons carrying.\n\nThis advanced vehicle is the result of a long-standing industrial relationship between Paramount and the Kalyani Group, with the two companies having previously worked together on protected vehicles such as the Kalyani M4. In 2023, Paramount and Bharat Forge further strengthened their cooperation to include the development and manufacturing of a wider range of armoured vehicles for global customers. The Mbada 4×4 LAMV represents a significant advancement in this partnership, introducing lighter, modular platforms that cater to the needs of forces requiring protected mobility without having to switch to heavier armoured vehicles.\n\nThe Mbada 4×4 LAMV boasts a kerb weight of approximately 10 tonnes, powered by a six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 336 kW (roughly 450 hp) and 1,627 Nm of torque. It features an all-wheel-drive setup with a six-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case, enabling it to reach a top speed of 110 km/h. The vehicle's independent front and rear suspension ensures mobility on both paved roads and challenging off-road surfaces.\n\nOne of the key advantages of the Mbada 4×4 LAMV is its ability to provide STANAG 4569 Level 1 or 2 ballistic protection, as well as Level 2a and 2b blast protection.
