Kashmir Security Forces Enhance Operational Readiness Through Joint Drills\n\nIn a bid to bolster their operational readiness and response time, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district conducted an anti-Fidayeen attack drill at a local railway station. The exercise, which involved the police, Army, railway police, and CRPF, aimed to strengthen coordination among security agencies and ensure an effective response to any eventuality.\n\nAccording to officials, the drill was conducted to assess the operational preparedness and inter-agency coordination of the security forces. The participating agencies established road cut-offs at designated locations and carried out coordinated response measures to neutralise the simulated threat and ensure the safe evacuation of passengers and civilians.\n\nHandwara SSP Sajad Khaliq Bhat, who recently assumed charge, reviewed the security and operational preparedness in the North Kashmir police district. Bhat undertook a detailed review of critical security and policing aspects, including investigation of cases under the NDPS and UAPA Acts, identification of security hotspots, vulnerability mapping, deployment arrangements, law-and-order preparedness, and preventive security measures.\n\nHe directed officers to strengthen the security grid, intensify patrolling and naka checking, maintain heightened vigilance at sensitive locations, and ensure timely preventive action against elements likely to disturb peace and public order. Bhat also stressed the importance of effective surveillance outside prisons, in accordance with established legal procedures, to identify and prevent potential security threats.\n\nFurthermore, the SSP directed officers to closely monitor online platforms for provocative, misleading, and unlawful content that could affect public peace and security. This move is a testament to the security forces' commitment to leveraging technology to enhance their operational readiness and response time.\n\nThe anti-Fidayeen drill at Kulgam railway station is a significant development in the security forces' efforts to strengthen their operational readiness and response time. By conducting joint drills and leveraging technology, the security forces can ensure an effective response to any eventuality and maintain peace and public order in the region.\n\nIn conclusion, the security forces' commitment to enhancing their operational readiness and response time through joint drills and technology is a positive step towards maintaining peace and public order in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.
