India's Military Diplomacy in Full Swing: Exercises Reflect Multi-Vector Foreign Policy

India's military has been actively engaging with key partner nations in a bid to enhance interoperability and deepen strategic ties, a recent exercise has highlighted. The successful conduct of Exercise Tarang Shakti and Exercise Yudh Abhyas demonstrate the country's commitment to multi-vector foreign policy and its efforts to strengthen national resilience against emerging security challenges.

Strengthening Strategic Ties

Exercise Yudh Abhyas, conducted from September 15 to 27, saw 600 personnel from each side exercise at a high-altitude area in Uttarakhand, followed by long-range firepower drills, including US HIMARS, Indian Pinaka rocket systems, and counter-drone systems. The exercise underscored the growing strategic partnership between India and the United States, with the US Ambassador in India, Sergio Gor, terming the F-35s' participation as "another example of trust" between the two countries.
