Specifically, it includes the strengthening of cooperation between the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Indian Navy, including information sharing in the field of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA), as well as enhanced cooperation in areas such as Search and Rescue (SAR) and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR).\n\nThe visit is a significant step towards strengthening India-Japan defence cooperation, which is crucial for maintaining regional security and countering global threats. The two nations have reaffirmed their commitment to deepen maritime cooperation, leveraging each other's strengths in defence shipbuilding to enhance regional security and counter global threats effectively.\n\nAs the Indo-Pacific region continues to face numerous security challenges, the strengthening of India-Japan defence cooperation is a welcome development.
