Azerbaijan's BLACKYARD Enters Pakistani Defence Market with DT-001 UAV

Azerbaijan's defence company BLACKYARD, also known as DEFTECH, has made a significant foray into the Pakistani military market with its DT-001 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drone. This development comes as India and Armenia strengthen their defence ties, with Armenia expressing interest in India's unmanned aircraft and missiles.

The DT-001 UAV, developed by BLACKYARD for reconnaissance and strike purposes, boasts impressive technical specifications. With a maximum take-off weight ranging from 75 to 120 kg, depending on the payload, the aircraft can carry up to 40 kg of cargo. Its 360cc petrol engine, paired with a pushing propeller, enables the DT-001 to stay aloft for 5-10 hours, with a cruising speed of 120-130 km/h.

The DT-001 can be paired with F-1500 and F-5000-series loitering munitions, offering enhanced reconnaissance and strike capabilities. The F-1500, a small loitering missile, features electro-optical sensors and artificial intelligence for target tracking. According to specifications published on BLACKYARD's website, the ground-launched version of the F-1500 can carry a 1.5kg warhead, while the air-launched version can accommodate a larger one.
